The rumors have been confirmed ,, Apple iSlate is coming soon

Apple’s tablet, initially just a whisp of rumor, appears to be taking a more concrete shape. The Cupertino, Calif. company has instructed suppliers to provide glass panels and connectors ahead of a potential Jan. 26 announcement, multiple reports claim.

A subsidiary of Foxconn, Innolux, will supply Apple with the majority of 10-inch glass displays and Wintek, which provides most iPhone display panels, will handle the remainder, according to Taiwan’s DigiTimes. The publication said Apple could announce its tablet in January with major shipments by March, 2010. One report has suggested Apple has told Foxconn it needs 300,000 tablets per month. If true, the report would dovetail with recent speculation Apple booked San Francisco’s Yerba Buena Center for the Arts Jan. 26 for a product announcement.

Even before the tablet is unveiled the product hit a delay, prompting the wait until the first quarter of 2010. Apple has been searching for a way to strengthen the tablet’s glass panel, according to DigiTimes. Reportedly, another Foxconn subsidiary, G-Tech Optoelectronics, will provide the answer.

In another hint suppliers are ramping up for an Apple tablet, Cheng Uei Precision received orders for flat-panel “connectors.” However, the company suggests the components won’t ship until the third quarter of 2010, appearing to dispute a January announcement.

At the same time, Apple apparently has trademarked iSlate.com. The Cupertino company has also trademarked “Magic Slate,” a move that could match its “Magic Mouse” product.

All this speculation hasn’t hurt Apple’s stock, which was up 4 percent to $213.10 in early trading Monday after reaching record levels on Thursday.

Make Way for youtu.be Links

It’s all the rage: link shorteners to ensure that those useful URLs you’re sharing don’t take up too much precious character count while also giving you an inkling of what you’re about to click on. Well, we’ve just launched youtu.be as a shortener for YouTube video links — and nothing but YouTube links — so you can rest assured that when you see a link with this URL, you are indeed about to click on a YouTube video. (Also, because the link contains the ID of the video you’re going to see, developers can do interesting things like show you thumbnails, embed the video directly, or track how a video is spreading in real-time.)

To see this feature in action, use AutoShare to link up your YouTube account to social networks like Twitter and Google Reader. Then, whenever you favorite a video on YouTube, for example, that action will get syndicated out to your network, who will see this shortened edition of the video’s URL.

To use youtu.be manually, simply take a URL like http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FdeioVndUhs and replace the”http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=” with “http://youtu.be/” to get: http://youtu.be/FdeioVndUhs Plug that shorter URL into a browser, and you’ll see it redirects to that video.

First 4G Mobile Network Launches . . . In Sweden :(

For all of you waiting for mobile data networks to catch up to broadband speeds on cable and DSL, the first 4G/LTE network has arrived . . . in Sweden (and Norway too). The Scandinavians get everything first when it comes to mobile, except the iPhone. TeliaSonera launched the first two cities of its 4G network, which promises wireless download speeds of up to 100 megabits per second (yeah, right) using equipment from Ericsson and Huawei.

So if you live in Oslo or Stockholm, you get to try it out. Everyone else is out of luck. TeliaSonera says it will roll out the 4G service to 25 cities in Sweden and Norway in 2010. But you know how these things go. The full rollout may take longer because they are still trying to follow the instructions on how to put it together. They are pretty sure they are missing some bolts.

Until then, I suggest you move to Stockholm.

Mobily is now taking orders for the iPhone 3GS

Mobily has fixed their iPhone page to correctly display iPhone 3GS. “The wait is over, and the fastest, most powerful iPhone yet is now available to pre-order exclusively from Mobily. Book your iPhone 3GS now to ensure being the first to recieve it on launch day.”

Mobily’s iPhone page got updated today, now it doesn’t even mention the iPhone 3GS but instead it adds a form for ordering the iPhone.

The website now includes the following: “Now officially in Saudi Arabia. Be the first to get it from Mobily, the only official provider with full support from Apple”. This is the same form used back in February when the iPhone 3G was released.

Snow Leopard Leaps Past Win 7 In Time Tests

Leopard “consistently outdid” Microsoft’s soon-to-be released Windows 7 operating system, according to to a head-to-head time test. Apple’s latest OS X operating system outpaced Windows in both boot-up and shutdown, according to a review conducted by CNet.

Leopard needed 36.4 seconds to boot up versus 42.7 seconds for Windows 7. The gap was even more significant in the time needed to shut down the 2008 MacBook Pro. While Snow Leopard required 6.6 seconds to shut down, Windows 7 took 12.6 seconds, the study found.

“If you can get by with just software designed by Apple and if money is not a big issue, you will be happy with a Mac,” concluded the study’s author, Dong Ngo.

One area where Windows 7 came out on top was games. A test of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Windows 7 output 26.3 frames per second while Snow Leopard produced 21.3 frames per second. The key reason may be the graphics processing of Windows 7 versus Snow Leopard. The study found the Microsoft operating system made better use of the Macbook Pro’s Nvidia’s 512MB GeForce 9600M GT graphics card.

Although many versions of Apple applications, such as iTunes and Quicktime, also have Windows-based counterparts, Snow Leopard was faster. Converting a M4 Movie to iPod using Quicktime X took Snow Leopard 444.3 seconds versus 723 seconds for the Windows’ Quicktime 7. In another example, it took 149.9 seconds for Snow Leopard to convert 17 seconds from MP3 to AAC format in iTunes compared to 162 seconds for Windows.

when the student attend the university and take courses in sport and physical education in the pyp year they think this courses are weasting of time but after they become freshmen they will know why they took these courses and the reason is the long distance between the buildigs and the break is only 10 minutes so if you have a class in building 6 which is located in the east of the campus and the next class is in building 24 which is located in the west side and only 10 minutes to do that in the nice whether what we have it in Dhahran you must have a good fitness to make it and a good shoes quality . So the student who want to lose some wight he has to be a freshmen or (in al gabal)
